Event: 2024 Beyond Hangeul & K-Culture Festival Hangeul Art Competition

Submission Period:

• Dates: August 23, 2024 (Friday) at 9:00 AM to September 15, 2024 (Sunday) at 6:00 PM.

Competition Procedure:

1. Document Submission: Applicants submit their documents.
2. Document Review: Up to 50 entries will be selected.
3. Result Announcement: Winners will be announced on the competition website and through direct contact.
4. Exhibition of Selected Works: Selected works will be displayed.

Eligibility:

• Open to anyone, both Koreans and non-Koreans.

Exhibition Period:

• Dates: October 6, 2024 (Monday) to October 7, 2024 (Tuesday), lasting for two days.
• Location: Hall 5A, Busan BEXCO Exhibition Center II.

Theme:

• Creating free-form Hangeul art that reflects the fusion of traditional Korean culture with modern technology under the theme of "Hallyu 4.0."
• Focus areas: The beauty of Hangeul, modern technology, and the global value of Hangeul.

Prizes:

• Grand Prize: 1 winner, 1,000,000 KRW
• Excellence Prize: 2 winners, 500,000 KRW each
• Merit Prize: 4 winners, 250,000 KRW each
• Participant Prize: For participants who make it to the finals, BEXCO passes, and merchandise worth approximately 60,000 KRW.
• Consolation Prize: For up to 300 early applicants, festival passes worth approximately 30,000 KRW.
