2024 Intern Recruitment - The Climate Reality Project, Korea District Office

We are looking for interns who are passionate about climate change and are enthusiastic about supporting and participating in 'The Climate Reality Project,' an International Environmental NGO led by Al Gore.

What is TCRP (The Climate Reality Project)?

In 2006, Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Al Gore got the world talking about climate change with the Academy Award-winning film An Inconvenient Truth. It was just the beginning of a climate revolution. Later that year, he founded what would become The Climate Reality Project to move the conversation forward and turn awareness into action globally. Today, The Climate Reality Project is a diverse group of passionate individuals—activists, cultural leaders, organizers, scientists, and storytellers—committed to building a sustainable future together.

What Do I Get by Attending an Act of Leadership in The Climate Reality Project?

By joining the act of leadership in the Climate Reality Project, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of:

• How our climate is changing
• How systemic racism is fueling the climate crisis and deepening injustice
• How we can confront these challenges and build the world we want
• Practical solutions we have in our hands today

Equally important, by attending our act of leadership, you’ll start building the skills and network to:

• Raise awareness and influence public opinion when it matters
• Inspire your friends, colleagues, and community to take action
• Effectively pressure policymakers to act on bold, just climate solutions

Area of Recruitment: Internship

Responsibilities

Interns will be responsible for raising public awareness by participating in and launching activities that help society confront the reality of the global climate crisis. You will motivate people to act in response to the climate crisis emergency, reminding them that the well-being of individuals, families, and local communities depends on how we, as one species, come together to address these challenges.

Intern Duration

Minimum of 6 months, with flexible duration depending on individual circumstances. Further discussions can be held if necessary

D-2 visa students are also eligible to apply for this position. Working hours can be flexible to accommodate students' schedules.

Intern Location

Climate Reality Project Korea District Office, and other regions of South Korea as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Passion for environmental issues and interest in actively supporting and instigating environmental initiatives.
• A strong sense of responsibility and dedication.
• An understanding of internal information security and data copyright protection while participating in climate activist group activities.
• Basic proficiency in either Korean OR English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in climate-related activities or education, planning educational content, executing school/organizational events, or participating in local/international campaigns.
• Training or experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Skills and experience in social media management.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work in Seoul.
