Background of the KDF Global Forum:
It began as the Seoul Democracy Forum in 2009, aiming to share Korea's democratic movement experiences with global civil society. Since 2021, it has evolved into an annual event and was rebranded as the KDF Global Forum in 2023. The forum seeks to advance democracy and human rights globally, providing a platform for activists, experts, and youth to collaborate.
The 2024 Forum will focus on Korea's role in democratic development, exploring solidarity in Asia, particularly in countries like Bangladesh and Myanmar, while continuing efforts to promote cooperation across the region.
