What is the UN Youth Environment Assembly?

The UN Youth Environment Assembly, jointly hosted by UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme), EcoNow (a non-profit organization), and WFUNA (World Federation of United Nations Associations), is the only youth environmental assembly in Korea. It is a program where future global leaders gather to experience a model UN assembly following UN General Assembly rules, and derive practical solutions to the global environmental crisis from the perspective of youth. 🌐🌱

[Roles and Qualifications for the UN Youth Environment Assembly Chairpersons]

Roles:

• Create online/offline MUN educational materials
• Conduct delegation workshop training
• Manage the main assembly meetings

Qualifications:

• University students residing in Korea (including international students and students on leave)
• Able to participate in all chairperson workshops, delegation workshops, and main assembly sessions
• Interested in UN SDGs and environmental issues
• Proficient in English communication (for applicants to the English committee)
• Preference for those with experience in the UN Youth Environment Assembly Secretariat and MUN programs

Number of Recruits:

• 20 (10 for the Korean committee / 10 for the English committee)
