Invest Seoul (IS), a Business Navigator for Foreign Startups and investors, is excited to announce the 12th A Big Think business model audition. This event aims to grant OASIS VISA points to foreigners who aspire to start tech-based start-ups in Korea. We eagerly await meeting innovative pre-entrepreneurs!

What is a Technology-based Business Model?

A technology-based business model involves any product or service related to or combined with technology, such as manufacturing, smartphones, apps, IoT, web, etc.

Competition Overview

1. Application Submission:

1. Period: June 24 (Mon) to July 12 (Fri)
2. Via Email: investseoul.org > Invest Seoul Projects or Submission Link

2. Preliminary Round (Application Review):

1. Dates: July 22 (Mon) to July 25 (Fri)
2. Result Announcement: July 31 (Wed)

3. 1:1 Business Model Consulting:

1. Period: August 5 (Mon) to October 11 (Fri)

4. Final Round (Presentation):

1. Date: October 24 (Thur)

Application Details

1. Period: June 24 (Mon) to July 12 (Fri)

2. Eligibility:

• Foreigners (individuals or groups) or foreigner-Korean teams with technology-based business models.
• Applicants must be legally able to stay in Korea and possess an undergraduate or higher education from Korea or overseas.
• In the case of foreigner-Korean mixed teams, foreigners must play a leading role (Founder, CEO, Head).
• Existing companies are eligible only if established in 2024.

3. Submission:

• Via the Invest Seoul Website

4. Required Documents:

• Application form (downloadable from the website)
• Resume (including pictures) of all team members (free form)
• A copy of ARC or passport of all team members

Business Model Consulting

• Period: August 5 (Mon) to October 11 (Fri)
• Eligibility: 10 teams who successfully pass the preliminary round (Mandatory)
• Content: Providing customized consulting services for each team, including developing business plans and PPT design.

Awards

-1st Place:

• 1 team: 5,000,000 KRW and OASIS 6 Start-up VISA (D-8-4) prerequisite (25 points by the Ministry of Justice)

- 2nd Place:

• 2 teams: 3,000,000 KRW

- 3rd Place:

• 2 teams: 1,000,000 KRW

- Popularity Award:

• 1 team: 500,000 KRW
