[PLEDIS Entertainment] North America Market Research Intern*
Job Summary
Supports the formulation and execution of strategies to grow the social influence of PLEDIS Entertainment artists/content in the North American market in line with the evolving global content industry landscape. Specifically, assists in planning and issuing content related to artist activities such as albums/concerts in the North American K-pop market, monitors fan quantitative/qualitative data, and provides insights. Through this, interns can gain experience in substantial artist/content marketing tasks such as localizing SNS channels in North America and collaborating with global SNS platforms.
[Main Responsibilities]
- Planning and issuing viral content for artists within North American fandom-specialized social media/communities.
- Monitoring qualitative responses and trends of North American K-pop fandoms, deriving insights.
- Assisting in North American K-pop market research and data analysis tasks.
- Supporting marketing team tasks related to global online/offline artist promotions (participation in meetings, report writing, communication with relevant departments).
[Main Working Environment]
- 5 days a week, 8 hours a day (mandatory working hours: 11:00~18:00), however, flexible working hours and periods of concentrated work may exist depending on North American time and album release/business schedules.
[Required Qualifications]
- Currently on leave or a graduate from university/graduate school.
- No specific major required.
- Proficiency in English and Korean at a native level (verbal & written).
- High understanding of North American cultural sphere, related communities/social media.
- High interest in and understanding of K-pop and idol fandom characteristics.
- Ability to perform meticulous tasks diligently and manage schedules effectively.
[Preferred Qualifications]
- Familiarity with major North American communities (Reddit, Discord, etc.).
- Actively using digital platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) or familiar with these platforms and content.
- Familiarity with grasping and utilizing new cultural trends such as internet communities, memes, indie, subcultures, etc.
- Possession of understanding of quantitative/qualitative data management and analysis.
- Excellent skills in organizing materials and writing reports using MS-Office/Google Suite.
- Experience residing in North America or high understanding of the culture/music industry.
- Experience in market research-related tasks.
